O'Reilly Hijacks Web 2.0

Google has earned its majesty since time immemorial. And even today it plays the role as the king of the internet where various websites largely depend on more particularly on the huge traffic earned from Google SEO strategies. But it seems that there is this issue that relates Google to one of the tyrants, O’Reilly.

The issue started when Google demands to change the name of the event entitled, “The Future of Web Applications” and the web 2.0 conference with a title, “Web 2.0 Conference & Expo.” According to a letter from google.com, they have sent three warnings to change those names, but it seems that O’Reilly didn’t want to understand what Google has wanted to emphasize.

And that made Google decided to stop its sponsorship to the site. If you may know that the focus of O’Reilly is on the limiting access to knowledge as well as dependencies for profit. Its web 2.0 conference may be called as such, but it’s actually limited only for some people. In other words, not everybody can attend to this said conference. Just by analyzing everything in the issue, Google had made the right decision not to sponsor the hard-headed people behind O’Reilly.
