Technology Transfer University

Advanced technology has paved the way in the development of new innovations which can be beneficial in the society. One proof of these innovations is the innovative drug delivery solutions, which puts the Technology Transfer University a top notch higher than the rest.

If you are not yet aware of this, Technology Transfer University is a Hebrew University of Jerusalem that gives an edge in the development of innovative drug delivery solutions. The success of this university won’t be possible if not for those world-renowned researchers’ courage to share their knowledge and discoveries. And of course, the world class facilities as well as the close cooperation with Israel’s leading pharmaceutical companies and hospitals have contributed much to the triumph of the university.

The Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology has come up with the best Novel drug delivery solutions, the fruit of labor exerted through various researches into the many different Technology Transfer Services areas and fields, such as the liposomes, polymers, controlled release and encapsulation technologies, and microparticulate and nanoparticulate targeting systems.

Learning all these could lead us to a conclusion that the groundbreaking drug delivery system research is certainly an underway by some of the world’s acknowledged experts who excel in various fields. And these all happen within the institution of Hebrew University.

To commence the people behind this success, the university would like to acknowledge the brilliant minds that are in one way or another had contributed much to the development of drug delivery solutions.

In the School of Pharmacy, the university would like to acknowledge Professor Abraham Domb, an expert in degradable polymers, nanoparticles, and biomaterials. Professor Elka Touitou who led a research in the enhanced delivery of peptides and other drugs through biological membranes. Professor Simon Benita, specialist in microparticulate and nanoparticulate targetable drug delivery systems.

The university also would like to acknowledge the professor of Casali Institute of Applied Chemistry, Professor Shlomo Magdassi, an expert in formulation chemistry, nanotechnology, surfactants, dispersion systems, microparticles, and microcapsules.

Also, the Hebrew University would like to extend its gratitude to the professor of the Department of Organic Chemistry, Professor Chaim Gilon who specializes in medicinal chemistry and synthetic chemistry and the professor at the Institute of Biochemistry, Food Science and Nutrition of the Faculty of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Quality Sciences, Professor Amos Nussinovitch who specializes in the theoretical and practical aspects of hydrocolloids, including: coating of cells, hydrocolloid glues, hydrocolloid cellular solids and water-soluble polymer uses.

More than anything else, the drug delivery success of Hebrew University has been known to many and considered to be a truly cutting-edge field.
